Since this was Vent Haven's first time participating in Giving Tuesday, I really didn't know what to expect. Would people help promote us? Would people respond? Would people donate? I learned yesterday that the answer to all three of these questions is a resounding, "YES!"
As I sat working at my desk, notification after notification came in that another donation had been made. When I went out for the evening, the notifications piled up in my inbox. Those of you who know me know that I truly love this amazing collection; that I want to both protect it and share it; that, to be honest, I am quite the ventriloquism dork at this point. When I see how much *you* care, though, I am inspired to a new level. Every one of you who donated yesterday (or at any other time) is clearly communicating that you dearly love Vent Haven, too.
The task we've undertaken to build a state of the art facility is daunting, to be sure. But as my wonderful mother always likes to say, "Many hands make light work." I am so grateful for yesterday's 'hands'. In reverse chronological order of donation, here are the people who absolutely made my day by donating to Vent Haven on our first Giving Tuesday:
Herbert Shirley Jr. Mark Bodenhofer Peggy Casey Tyler Ellis Laura Hemple Madeline Etkin Righteous Wretch Darren Carr Daniel Clemente Jennifer Dratch
Mike Palma Lisa Laird Linda Mason Jay Hurwitz Andy Gross Janet McCabe
Chris Johnson Brian Wilson Joe Richard Daniel J Robison Mary Ellen Phillips
Doreen Schonfeld Richard Hatch Steve Axtell Lee Cornell Jennifer Haas
Michelle Osborne Colin Dymond Phil Nichols Doug Morrison Elizabeth Artale
Stephanie Key Jim Swain Dale Brown Duane Echols Tom Ladshaw
THANK YOU SO MUCH! You are so appreciated!
