We are beyond thrilled to make this latest announcement. Are you ready?! Are you sitting down?! I know you know we've been raising money for about 18 months for our new facility. Nearly everyone reading this blog post has contributed to this challenge and we will continue to work together to make the new building a reality. Because you love Vent Haven, I know you'll be so excited to hear this great news... Today we are celebrating a major milestone toward our goal of raising $1 million.... Happy birthday, Jimmy!

Today is Jimmy Nelson's 90th birthday! I've had the honor of knowing Jimmy for 18 years, and I've never known a more wonderful person. Jimmy is kind, funny, smart, and generous. He's talented, humble, and loving. His contributions to ventriloquism in general and to Vent Haven Museum specifically are endless. To a person, everyone who has been fortunate enough to have met Jimmy feels the same way as I do. Jimmy is a one-of-a-kind treasure of a friend. And a one, and a two...

Vent Haven is so much more than a collection of dummies and puppets. The archives are the heart and soul of the collection. The archives tell the stories behind these amazing creations. The archives provide the provenance and help deter the morphing of history over time. Today I'm sharing with you some of the music file. Many ventriloquists donated the sheet music that went with their acts. Other sheet music was donated over the years. I love the amazing artwork on the covers, don't you?
