Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope this is your lucky day! Today on the blog I have a reminder for you as well as information about our most recent educational outreach. As always, thank you so much for your ongoing interest and support!
First, tickets are on sale now for our upcoming show, Double Talk. Thanks to those of you who have already purchased tickets as well as those who have supported the show by purchasing an ad for our program! The show is on Saturday, April 20th, at 3:00 pm at Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, Kentucky. Three professional ventriloquists will be performing - David Turner, Mike Hemmelgarn, and Jeff Goltz. The show will be family friendly & hilarious! All seats are reserved seating, so get your tickets soon at www.ventshow.com. Tickets are $20 & $10.
This past week Vent Haven was a presenter at Dreamfest at Northern Kentucky University. This fun and educational outreach focuses on local third through eighth graders who've been identified as gifted and talented. Our specific program is focused on helping children develop creativity through puppet making and character development. We provide a large variety of materials, from pipe cleaners to fabric to googly eyes to felt and more, to encourage students to create a new type of character. We also guide them to create a personality and temperament for their puppet. It's a lot of fun for the kids, but even more for us as we see some remarkable ideas emerge. Here's a photo gallery of some of the kids...
Thanks so much for reading! I hope to see you next month at the show! If you have any questions about the show or the museum, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
